DR NORA HAMDANI
Dr Nora HAMDANI is a Psychiatrist by training and has a PhD in Neuropshychiatry.
Dr Nora HAMDANI has 15 years experience in clinical practice. She worked in scientific research and contributed dot numerous scientific publications. She also earned several University awards. Dr HAMDANI is specialized in the diagnosis and management of Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorders.
She graduated as an M.D at the Paris VII University and specialized in Psychiatry in Paris Hospitals.
During her Internship, she graduated as a Master II fellow in Pierre et Marie University in Paris. Her research works focused on „The Role of the 5-HT2A receptor coding gene in the pharmacological response to antipsychotics in 90 patients suffering from Schizophrenia“.
Dr HAMDANI earned The Silver Medal and a Paris Diderot University Award for her works on „Secondary Prevention in suicide attempters: Interventions and Limitations“.
She received a Gold Medal Award) for her Psychiatry Specialization and Thesis on the topic: „Resistance Factors to Antipsychotics in Schizophrenia“.
As a Pschiatrist, she was hired as a Research Fellow in INSERM for 2 years following which she earned a PhD with honours for her research works on „The Pharmacogenetics of Schizophrenia“.
She pursued her research works on the Theme of „Infection, Immunity and Psychoses“, which allowed her to earn an Habilitation to direct research (HDR).
She continued her research works in partnership with a University Research Lab dedicated to Infectiology in Paris, to further explore the link between Infections, Inflammation and GI tract, and Schizophrenia, bipolar disorders or trauma.
She published several scientific papers in international Journals.
As a former Resident in Paris Hospital (AP-HP), then Head of Hospital Psychiatry Unit, she practiced for more than 15 years in University Hospitals and acquired a strong expertise in the diagnosis and management of thousands of patients with schizophrenia or bipolar disorders.
Her dual clinical and scientific experience is a strong asset to offer a full and tailored psychiatric assessment of your disorders, (including unexplored avenues), using thorough clinical assessments and deep interviews.
